Only spent afternoon into dusk.
Great fun virtually wading the whole bottom section .Got to understand the whole beat by traversing my way in unbelievable shallow conditions.
Found a landing net with 6 swim feeders snagged up , 1 rod with Abu Garcia 507 mk11 closed faced reel still attached and three pairs of women knickers (I think) tied together with fishing line!!! Weird!!!!
Anyway the chub caught wading in faster water on the meat, all the barbel from pallet swim, on the method in 3 foot of water under my feet when going dark.
I could actually see the one take the pellet from the method feeder, and take off, briilant to see.
Unforgettable really, love this beat>

Conditions not too bad given the recent weather but the lack of water made for a tough day with two blanks. Did manage to winkle out one barbel just under 6lb on a soaked elips dumbell. The insistence on breakfast in the White Lion rather than an early start didn't aid catching chances but these trips aren't just about the fishing. A great three days on the Wye....

Pretty much the same as yesterday (dire) but we did at least have some action. The three fish were the only bites all day.

A difficult day. The river conditions were as bad as I can remember so we weren't brimming with confidence when we set out and we were proved correct. Hardly a movement on any of the rods through the whole session.
Despite the state of the river and despite the W&U request, abstraction is ongoing at an alarming rate judging by what we've seen this week up and down the Wye. Clearly economic factors outweigh environmental factors in this case, understandable probably if you're a farmer but not at all helpful for the river system as a whole.
The other was an eel around 2.1/2lb, safely unhooked and returned.
