Water low and clear, barbel found in deep glide and took 8mm pellets

Only fished for a few hours in the evening. Fished with pellets and feeder as the sun went down and had some small chub and two barbel (biggest 8lb 6oz). River was at normal levels and the weather was warm and sunny.

Always a pleasure fishing this stretch - plenty of access along its length for the roving angler at this time of year (long handled net required in most places). Fish caught on pellets and meat.

1 small barbel on pellet. Work to be done on this venue, really overgrown. Concrete bank only 20% accessible. River nice level and good colour. Fish just not having it at this venue.

Fished Whitehouse river level 0.8 at Ross. Hooked 3 landed 2. Damp pellets in feeder, halibut pellet on hair rig.
