Water just coming into form dropping and clearing slightly throughout the day. Searched the top half of the beat spinning for a Springer slow and low f/C's and shads. Great beat, superb notes, super fishy.

No action until very late in the afternoon. River had been dead calm/quiet all day before. Fish taken on nymphs again. There were rises to a late afternoon hatch however.

2 Trout, 4 Grayling

Excellent day of nymphing for Grayling. Lovely weather. Steady flow to river. All fish taken and safely returned.

14 Grayling

Good morning fish quite well spread out mostly small but a few more net-able fish. Started by the bridge and picked one or two fish off all the way down to just above glangwye, a couple of better sized fish came from the new salmon catch below the gravel catch. All came to small nymphs.

4 Trout, 20 Grayling

Conditions were near perfect despite the wind, but not fish were showing. I had 3 shy-takes, presumable from salmon, but none were really hooked. At about 14:30, my new rod snapped mid-section and i hadn't brought my spare. A miserable end to the season!

Well another season draws to a close, worked hard all day I think I must have fished every catch on the beat late afternoon managed a 33inch hen fish from the Mill stream on a small Francis

A few fish seen in rock pool. Neighbouring angler had two salmon from tail of pool. Water a good height and colour. Great day despite not getting a touch.
