1 Chub caught and released whilst using a dry fly. We tried both wet and dry flies during the course of the morning and saw plenty of trout in the river. Some algae visible on the surface near the banks of the river.

Water very low and barbel hard to find.

2 Barbel, 65 Chub

Only my second time fishing the Wye and managed 11 good chub - one on float fished meat and the rest on groundbait feeder (small pellets and hemp) and 8mm pellet. Loved it, despite the low conditions. Some fish were spawned out and a bit hollow - some would have been serious fish of 5+ later in the season. Best spot was at the end of the left hand bank from the small beach, casting into the white water.

Only had a short amount of time to fish until the thunder/rain storm started, but still happy to catch a good condition chub.

Water still very low and clear , had 4 decent chub and a big eel.
