River was about two foot; using nymphs lots of bites on the flats and a nice 8" brown lost one in the bridge pool the gravel catch produced an 8" and 12" fish, good fishing

3 Trout

Started in Rock Pool, had a trout just below rock on brass tube cascade. Three casts later had another pull which I expected to be another trout but rod kicked over fish took a few feet of line and came unstuck. 1 salmon lost and that was the only action for the day.

Beautiful beat but no sign of salmon unfortunately. Very low water but start to come up late afternoon. All trout released.

Only fished for an hour on the way up to fish Craig Llyn.
Just fished the Rock pool through, no joy.

Fly, river low, two very small fish (less than 1lb) caught in the evening.

2 Trout

Water perfect but gusting downstream wind made for several motionless periods in midstream intent on unravelling birdsnest in leader. Not a lot rising but all trout caught on speculative dry flies (mayfly patterns).Tried PTN wet for 20 mins but only caught salmon parr, so gave that up. One larger trout but they were all fat & beautifully marked. Once again a pleasure to be out on the river - thanks WUF.

Fished 1:30 to 3:00 due to commitments elsewhere. 1 gentlemen caught a 12lb cock fish after I packed up on a flying c I think.

Great to explore this beat - water levels spot on but rather coloured and hopping up and down all day. Nothing contacted bar a couple of trout; will return!

Booked the Rectory, ready for the rain which was forecast at the end of the week, wrong!! I sat and watched Shaun try all the likely lies which were drying up as quick as he could cast! Nice to be on the river though.
