river rose a bit over night, thought we might of had some luck but no nothing. nothing seen nothing caught. It is hard to catch a salmon

Was on the river early to try and catch a fish, again I thought wrongly, fished the fly and the spinner nothing touched or seen again disappointing

Work and a dodgy car conspired to stop me getting to the Rectory for a late afternoon/ evening’s fishing in spite of it being bang on 2 foot and perfect. Result was therefore nil and 2 fish left untroubled until
Someone else came along on Saturday

Decent conditions, water height and colour and overcast but no salmon. I did connect with a few Trout (all returned) and plenty of tugs and knocks. Encouragingly, quite a few flies coming off the water.

Fished hard ,river ad dropped from yesterday, half way down rectory pool TWO canoeists came floating down.I spoke to them politely and pointed out their error . They left.Also reported to owner

Lost fish in Gravel catch saw one other

Nothing caught . River had a heavy stain. Two fish seen moving one was a travelling fish in Mill pool about 5lb. Nice to be out with the rods again though.
