River still quite high, but clear and a beautiful spring day with a hatch of flies around mid day, which lifted the spirits in these difficult days.

River in good order, but very dead all round, no hatches, no trout and certainly no Salmon. Got to be fish somewhere, but after trying everything a fly rod can offer, nothing to report.

River dropped of nicely, only had a couple of hours so fished through the Rock pool and gravel catch just a couple of greedy WBT. Good to get the cast arm back in action.

First time out this year, river a little high but a nice colour. A few hungry trout landed in the Gravel and Rock Pool. Fished through the Bridge Pool and had a very solid pull and thought my luck was in, only for it to be a good chub about 4 and a half pound, got the heart racing for a few seconds!

Did not fish. River still too high. I had a walk along the bank on top part of the Rectory and there is aquite a lot of debris in the shape of trees and branches along the bank that might make fishing a little trickey when the level subsides.
