Hard work today on a low and clear river; with most of my fish coming before 10:00 am. This included 5 Grayling from the same run; when I briefly entertained hopes of bagging up. Not to be though; with the day petering out - and scarcely a touch after lunch. The Grayling were the typical Lyepole 8-10 inch fish, but one of the Trout went 14 inches. An early finish for my lovely wife's supper of Pork Tenderloin with Armagnac and Prunes

5 Rainbows on a mixture of black and gold Mepps, and gold Tobies. Best fish just under 3lbs, the remainder all around 1 and three-quarter lbs. End of the day spoilt by a group of campers on the opposite bank who decided to start blaring out music from 15:30 onwards, ruining our lovely peaceful fishing trip. I will think twice about visiting this reservoir again due to this.

One angler fished.
Had a fantastic day here a couple of weeks ago. So booked again.
I knew canoes would be busy being a Sunday. So planned to fish either side of the hours they came down. Then keep a line in the water on the near bank as they tend to come down the far bank to navigate the rapids.
What can I say...
Barbel first cast...again. fish caught steadily all day.
I don't even bother with last swim below shallows just snags and weed.
Incredible day.

1 small rainbow and 2 skinny perch.
OK where to start, this work being carried out just off the dam wall yes its essential work but there has been no consideration for anglers with disabilities or mobility issues. Luckily my grandson was with me or id never have got to the waters edge.
It should be made known at the time of booking that there is know where for disabled or anyone with mobility issues to fish.
I'll be looking into this matter further as I'm 99% sure that everywhere that charges for an activity has to provide an area that's accessible for a person with disabilities or mobility issues. The only place was where that ruddy big crane is and the pontoon into the water with noisy work being done on it. Which is obviously scaring the fish from that area.

If there is anyone else who feels that their fishing is being spoilt or ruined by not having an area for an angler with disabilities or mobility issues please email me at jimspog1966@gmail.com, and I'm sure between us we can get an area put in place for anyone with the above mentioned issues.
Thank you for taking the time to read this rant but its peed me right off.
And further more the work is hopefully completed around may 2026.
