Fished Mill Pool and the Rectory. Fly only now so fished it through once or twice, with nothing seen or caught, surprised really as it looked great maybe a bit high ?

Fished all pools on beat. Fished the rock pool without a touch, had a cup of tea and a change of fly and wow it worked a fish of 13lb'ish.

River quite high, just under 2ft in the Llanstephan gauge and carry a fair bit of colour. Not a day for the fly. Tried various spinners but no offers despite looking good for it.

Great height at 2'3'' but dirty. Drove 4 hours to get there. Fished for 3 hours. Drove home. Didn't feel confident from the moment I saw the river and didn't see any running fish. But today is probably a different story....
