Fished fly and spinner, fished hard no fish to show for effort, mill pool also drew a blank.

River high fished for a wee while but nothing saw two fish running.

River fining down still a bit of colour and a tad high nothing seen or caught

One Salmon rod in the Mill stream, Neck of Rectory, Rectory Pool and The Run with no success. No fish seen and none 'touched'.

Two brown trout, one of 6 inches and another of 8 inches taken on a nymph fished downstream in Rock Pool at about midday. Both put back. Several rises noted at about 4pm, but no takers.

Challenging afternoon weather wise, never the less, eight Trout caught and several missed. River was fairly low, badly in need of a good wash through which is what is forecast this weekend.

Other: Dace! River is dropping back after a short rise. 12lb Salmon Neck of the Rectory 09:30hrs
Fly: 2” willie gun fished deep. Good strong fish starting to colour up. Went back to the depths after a short rest.
