Blank. Water already back down to 11-12 inches, although there is more colour than I would like. One handshake in the Rocks, fish seen to move in neck of Rectory, otherwise river very quiet.

Fished fly but no pulls or contact made. Two salmon jumped in rock pool and 1 in bridge pool. Water very dirty and water visibility only 1ft. Slipped on boulders in bridge pool and went for a dip. Felt soles and studs a must.

Water was very coloured, almost muddy in aspect, there was a huge downpour the day before. I first thought about cancelling till I saw the first salmon jump out on the rock pool. In total I must have seen a dozen jumps in 4 different pools.
Anyway, I tried my best all day but no salmon and only one large trout on a cascade tube.
