12lbs silver cock fish from Llyn Em Pool on 3/4" tube best described as a Stoats Tail with attitude. (One of KT's specials). Very little black hair with added flash - when you think you have enough sparkle, double the quantity and double it again ! Brief contact with another fish in Middle Caban.

First time on Llyn Em but conditions looked good if perhaps a touch too much water ( picky ). Thus caught Grayling, Trout and Chub but the elusive Salmon remained - elusive. No sign or sight at all.
Note to would be anglers who like the quiet life - this beat is RIGHT next to the road for much of its length.

What a difference another day, and a guide make - a quite fantastic day, Kim Tribe took me to part of the beat which I have not fished before, and put me right onto a massive hatch of grannom. I had 9 fish in 40 mins without moving my feet, and finished the day with 12 fish:- 8 trout and 4 grayling all between 3/4 and one pound. I just grabbed a couple of days away, staying at the Caer Beris as usual, but didnt have time to fish the river there - too busy! Cant wait to come back in the summer. Thanks to all concerned.

The best fishing of the weekend - caught 10 grayling and 8 trout of various sizes plus quite a number of smolts, nothing of any real size though. Vast majority of the fish were taken on a copper headed pheasant tail nymph variant.

Hope to be back again at some time in the none too distant future.
