Went for an hour with fly just on the dusk with it being to sunny most of the day went down the bridge pool second cast and bingo salmon 15lb .

1 Salmon

Snapped my rod tip within two hours of fishing, set the trout rod up but wasn't in the mood.

1 Trout, 2 Grayling

fly fished for salmon, but no luck.

Salmon lost in Upper Heirag and Bridge Pool . 3 decent size trout landed

Although not many fish were caught due to the hot weather, it was a very enjoyable day. We used mainly nymphs as there seemed to to be no rising.

Had a lovely day fishing for salmon on the fly but unfortunately, I did not see or catch anything ( the sun was too bright is my excuse). Nevertheless I learned a lot about the river at that particular height.
