Fished only dries - olives hatching in morning - nothing much during the day - then good sedge and caenis hatches in evening.

River was on dead summer low, ‘on its bones’. Fished with dry fly all day. Fish were spooky. A few intermittent fly hatches, mainly olive uprights

Landed one, lost another better fish in fast water. Both taken on nymphs. Some surface feeding in morning but none in afternoon as wind got up heavy rain. A lot of the river was static due to low water level. Enjoyed the day anyway.

Mixed weather. Humid, heavy bursts of rain, breezy, sunny. Few fish rising upstream of motorway bridge.
A couple of nervous takes to a GRHE nymph, one small fish returned. Access is difficult as the entrance gate is behind road work cones on A470 and inside lane shut off - beware!

Overcast but with a stiff breeze blowing all day to make life difficult. The recent rain did nothing to flush out the river. Intermittent hatch of olives through the day which peaked at around 15:30. Tempted a few to a CDC olive on the fast run at the bottom of the beat but none landed.

Fish rising from in areas from 11.30 when we arrived until around 4.30 -5ish. Strong breeze down river made casting more testing. All caught on dries mostly soft hackle CDC. Lovely day and location. 8 fish netted over Dinas and Abercynrig ranging from 1/4 to 1.5 lbs, many missed takes and fish lost before the net. All returned safely - great fun

Very windy. No fly on water. The padlock on the second gate does not work limiting access to the town end of the beat - needs a new lock.

Sunny day. with really strong wind making things very tricky. River very low. All caught on nymphs
