Overcast but with a stiff breeze blowing all day to make life difficult. The recent rain did nothing to flush out the river. Intermittent hatch of olives through the day which peaked at around 15:30. Tempted a few to a CDC olive on the fast run at the bottom of the beat but none landed.

Fish rising from in areas from 11.30 when we arrived until around 4.30 -5ish. Strong breeze down river made casting more testing. All caught on dries mostly soft hackle CDC. Lovely day and location. 8 fish netted over Dinas and Abercynrig ranging from 1/4 to 1.5 lbs, many missed takes and fish lost before the net. All returned safely - great fun

Challenging day with lowish water and a strong breeze. Sparse hatch of LDOs, March Browns and the occasional Yellow May. 5 wbt caught and released. Taken on a range of dries. All 10"+, the best a handsome 15" pristine specimen taken in a fast riffle towards the bottom of the beat.
