Nothing caught but lots of rises after 9pm. Definitely too hot during the day. Wait for the later hatch.

River still low, fish playing very hard to get.

Fished dry and nymph. Had just two rises all day. No catch to report. Still a nice day though

Lovely afternoon/evening. Not many rises to be seen, but enough fish on nymphs to keep it very interesting.

Lost one on a spider. A few rises to dries.

Had a day on Dinas and Abercynrig - water was low but not low, low. Conditions were hot but overcast at times. Not fished Dinas before but some lovely water - a nice mix of glides, pools and runs. Had several fish at Dinas but a lot more at Abercynrig as I fished there in the evening when the hatch and rise was superb. 16 fish at Abercynrig. Most fish 3/4lb but some over a 1lb and one of 2lb. All on dry fly.

Had a lovely day watching the sand martins and other wildlife
Unfortunately I was unable to fish the early morning or evening and it was very bright in the day
So not a great deal of action

Very quiet on the fish front with hardly any signs at all but 2 lovely fish. Tried numerous flies but no interest. Hot day and river seemed low.

2 Trout

A low river greeted us but with just a tinge of colour following overnight rain. It was gratifying to watch the hundreds of sand martins feasting on the hatches of mainly tiny flies. More worrying was the flock of 18 Goosanders, nature in all its bounty but not sure a flock of this size is sustainable for trout stocks.
Plenty of fish in evidence but so difficult to tempt. I had one of those days , hooking 4 mostly on parachute Adams but only netting 1 as the others threw the hook after a short fight.
JJ fared better taking 4 tout about a 1lb all on nymphs.
Really enjoyed our day.
