A nice return to Bugeilyn, the view of the lake as you walk down is always such a pleasing sight. The cold wind blowing up the lake was less welcome. Very little surface activity first few fish on wets, diawl bachs at boathouse end of lake. Best fish coming later at the top end on usual small black dry flies. A hard day but as always very enjoyable to bag some of Bugeilyns hard fighting beautys.

20 typical 8-12 inch Bugeilyn trout, mostly to invictas and Greenwells just below the surface with a few to daddy long legs later in the day. Wish there was a boat, some big fish in the middle! Could we bring our own?!

A wet day, but waders and jacket and a good day fishing is always better than a day at work! Lovely coloured fish and although small, feisty little chaps.

Best place in the world to blank! -4 when we got up there, sun burnt off, wind got up, we went for a mega walk and that was that. Good therapy.

First trip of the year to Bugeilyn, track is passable only if you have high clearance, from barn and past old farm worst bits. The walk in is fine. Very windy conditions for much of the day so stuck with wets, Mallard&claret and Diawl Bach accounted for the fish. Usual fast takes and hard fights, most taken at top end of lake later in day after wind calmed down a bit.

A cold and overcast day with no fish rising and no insect life, but there had been a lot of Daddy Longlegs about in the hills for the previous few days. A size 12 brown, foam body, imitation accounted for all the fish caught. It worked best floating high on the surface and seemed to draw the fish up from anywhere on the lake. A very enjoyable day.

We had visited in May on a very bright and blustery day and not done that well. So, we were excited about the overcast weather and hoped for better results. Four fish each caught - all fighting-fit Llyn trout around 12". Most caught to dry but a couple to wet. We will keep trying for one of those 20 fish days!

Fished from 10:30 to 15:00 using Butcher and Bibio hopper size 12 flies.
Went right from the boat house past the lonesome pine to the boggy area beyond.
Plenty of fish around the lily pads including a nice fish of around 16 inches and a double hookup at one point which was interesting getting them out of the lily pads.
Sport slowed in the afternoon as the temperature dropped markedly and rain started around 15:00.
