Grey, overcast, wet and windy!! Were we put off? Not a bit of it. We had a great day on this remote Llyn and were rewarded with 19 fantastic black fin trout the largest to 12". Green flies were the order of the day with sub surface sport and an occasional rise during the very infrequent sunny spells. Wonderful venue and will return in the future.

Hard weekends fishing due to strong winds making most of the lake impossible to fish. Only fished the Saturday although we booked the Sunday too due to the weather. 4 fish caught in total all pretty small of about 3-4 inches. One caught on mayfly, two on a black gnat and one on a gold headed hairs ear.

Lovely day on this magical Welsh hill "Lyn". Trout rising all day and very specific about the hatch. We never really found the exact imitation. Small and black yes but it needed to be exact. We found a few but left chastened but happy.

Drizzly day with light wind. Fished for a couple of hours right bank, past the headland, from the boat house. Tried several varieties of wets with several takes and one landed from the edge of Lillies. I love the remoteness of the place. Should be a bit fitter than me, though! Can see an angler fishing the opposite bank on Youtube!

Fished this lake before, excellent sport and the wild life that was around on the day was great. The fish put up a good fight and were very attractive fish. Would recommend everyone to try this lake, it is worth the effort to get there.

Started on the dry, but there was a strong wind and limited surface activity. Moving on the wet flies, I was soon into the first fish. Most successful fly was a Mallard and Claret.

Gale force winds and torrential rain tried there best to mar a wonderful place. Almost impossible to stand up let alone cast a fly at times due to the winds.
Had a few snatches at a black gnat dry fly but nothing till I managed a lovely, perfectly formed brownie at last knockings. Will return and hope for better weather.
Walk was fine but as 5 cars passed me on the track down and parked by the nature reserve lake it did make me wish I had taken my car down the track as it was fine if you were careful a 4x4 will easily make it all the way to the lake itself.

2 fish caught, 1 at 6 inches and a larger fish at 10inches on a dark-winged deer hair sedge type fly and a sedgehog respectively. Plenty of bibio flies in evidence round the margins. I had quite a bit of interest but my timing was off.
The day started still and damp and gradually became sunny with a strengthening breeze. Both fish caught on the western side of the Llyn, where I also lost one estimated at around one pound. Grrrr.
