4 small rainbow trout caught, all released back.

Started fishing at 9:30 and caught the first fish at around 10:30, a brown trout just over a lb. That was my only fish for the day. My companion caught three rainbows, two were around one and a half lbs but the third was a beauty of between three and four lbs. Wind was light overcast with some sunshine. All fish caught on worm.

Fished the west shore in thick mist and fine drizzle. Two 1.5lb rainbows caught on mepps spinner. Mid afternoon weather improved slightly and was suprised to see a large MINK casually walking along the bank at the southern end of the reservoir. It was in good condition and had a very dark brown coat. First time I have seen these pests at any stillwater. Have there been other sightings?

4 fish all rainbow caught. 3 on spinner one on bottom. One very small rainbow also taken on spinner but returned as only just hooked on lip. Good fishing.

On spinner. The range is surface. Or just 4 secs count-down. All of them were released.

2 brown trout returned, 1 rainbow taken. All on worm.

3 fish all caught on spinner. One nice brown trout well over a pound and a lovely meal. A Rainbow of around a pound and a half and a larger one nearly 3lb. Good sport. Water is still icy cold making it hard going so looking forward to warmer weather.
Great idea for the £10 ticket. I would buy this if I expected a shorter day or poor conditions. A wonderful venue as always. Will fish at least 20 times this year.

6 rainbow trout caught, 1 returned. 4 between 1 and 1 1/2lbs, 1 around 2 to 1/2lbs. Wet and windy with rough water. Fished off bottom with worm.
