Great day, had the beat to myself. Fished dawn till around 3pm. All fish came to feeder tactics with paste wrapped boilie hookbaits. The highlight was a magnificent Barbel of 9lb 12oz. Lovely views and a good amount of swims. Thoroughly enjoyable fishing and very peaceful.

Another fantastic day to end our 4 day trip.
We've had the trip of a lifetime with 2 days of the 4 being only short sessions due to travelling from Yorkshire, somehow still ending with 66 barbel and 98 chub!
The average size of fish was well up on previous visits, but with a number of smaller fish showing which is promising for the future.
Still finding lots of anglers rubbish on the beats though which we get sick of picking up and taking home. The amount of line found on the banks this trip was shocking and must stop.

Only fished 2 hours today after travelling down from Yorkshire but had a mad 2 hours with 5 barbel up to 8.15 and 21 chub up to around 4lb to show for our efforts. River was up about 2 foot on last time we fished this beat.

River was slightly up and coloured, caught all fish on meat and pellet from the first field. Other were eels

River was about four feet up and pushing through. Three anglers persevered to land some pleasing chub, including a PB. Perseverance paid of with four barbel in five casts for one of us. Freelining meat in the crease from the croy at the top end proved productive. Otherwise various pellets.
The "other" was an impressive eel.

Challenging conditions with 4ft of extra water and pushing through. Various pellets accounted for most fish. The 'other' was an impressive eel caught on Spam.
