River 3 feet up according to the EA site and absolutely ploughing through and featureless at Foy Bridge where the drizzle soon became heavy rain. Four barbel to 7lb plus a few chublets, a wbt and an eel before rain stopped play. Noted the recent clearance & access work - esp on the left bank - making the swims here very convenient if that's what you're looking for - car to water in 2-3 mins.

11 barbel 5 - 8lbs and 2 Chub 2 - 4lbs .

Another excellent day despite the tricky conditions.

The river was still well up and coloured, and there were very few areas of slack water - which made bite detection quite difficult and meant I pulled through a number of fish.

Pouring with rain when I got there and very windy.

Learnt my lesson from my first time here, and managed to get the other side of the big mid-river snag.

I clearly found a shoal of barbel, and was in to fish immediately - all in the 6-7lb range.

The swim went quiet for a couple of hours, but then switched on again - I finished at 9pm and ended the day with 32 barbel (up to 8.5lb) and 5 big chub (up to 6lb).

I also picked up a load of nice dace and small chub.

All the big fish were caught on 8ml and 12ml elipse pellets
I will be back again very soon.

River up and running hard in a very fast area. Had 1 chubb & 1 small barbel on meat in the morning. In the first swim next to bridge, needed 4oz weight to hold.

River was up, probably 5ft, found it hard fishing on right bank early on, moved across the bridge and fished under (almost) the big tree by the bridge. Long stretch of slack water next to main drag. 5 Chub 2.5 lbs to 4 lbs two barbel 4lbs and 5lbs many bites missed. Meat and sweetcorn. Lovely weather and a short but beautifull stretch to visit. I forgot to mention the eel. Thank you Charles and the Foundation!

6 barbel, all on pellets.

My first time at Foy Bridge and a great day to finish the season. River was very low and gin clear. Tried 3 swims on both banks and took fish from each. There is a major snag about a third of the way across the bottom swim on the near bank, but this was the most productive spot - you need to fish at least half way. Managed 9 chub to 4.5lbs and 3 barbel to 9lb. All on small pellets - not a touch on maggots or meat. Lost biggest barbel, which was a good double, about a foot from the net! Definitely somewhere you need to get to know, but well worth another visit. See you in the new season!

Caught several chub and 2 smallish barbel. Tried maggots but after I had introduced some pellets they were only interested in them. Unfortunately I only had a few pellets! A nice short length of the Wye with a few decent looking pegs.

Weather bright, light wind, water low and clear, temp 12 deg. Approx 30 chub caught between 1.5lb and 4lb, some on the float some on the lead. Maggot was top bait.

Very wet start and difficult conditions but within the first hour three smashing chub up to 4lb were landed. Nothing after, but well worth the effort especially as it was my sons first chub ever and he got two! Definitely a venue to go back to.
