River was rapidly rising and almost in flood from heavy rain, I couldn't really find any proper slack water to fish as the debris coming down was brutal. Lovely little stretch just a shame I wasn't there a couple of days earlier.

River dropping off and a good colour, slightly more pace than I like at this time of year but as this beat is mostly shallow. Caught in all swims we fished on a variety of methods including a Salmon Parr trotting. Nothing weighed just the average size Wye fish. Enjoyable as always

With the amount of rain over the last two days the river was high and fast flowing with a lot of debris coming down stream. This made for a challenging days fishing however it was a glorious day weather wise.
A few bites through out the day and one nice Chubb caught at 3lbs 5oz so all was not lost.

Bit lazy stuck with it in the one spot, pellet and feeder, probably should have moved and tried other swims. River rising fast after overnight rain.

Due to other plans, we only fished a few hours in the morning. Trotted a float through various swims. Had one decent chub hooked by it threw the hook while it was being reeled in.

2 anglers fishing directly opposite each other, it was tough to find a decent channel but the right-side bank seemed to have the best options and produced both Barbel and a Chub on a pellet feeder. Over on the left side, 3 Chub came late pm to float-fished luncheon meat.

Had to flick all the way through my "Big Book of Blank Excuses" for this one...  Couldn't really find a good one to use but was tempted to claim a VERY localised hailstorm in the Foy area, causing all the fish to swim downstream to The Creel to excuse my horrendous angling.

River was up and steady,  weather was spot on, had all the pegs to myself and despite having more pellets than Sun Valley Chickens I could not get a bite.

Tried 3 swims, different methods,  different baits to no avail, my blank being saved by a 1 pound chub last knocking who obviously felt sorry for me.
