Only my second time fishing the Wye and managed 11 good chub - one on float fished meat and the rest on groundbait feeder (small pellets and hemp) and 8mm pellet. Loved it, despite the low conditions. Some fish were spawned out and a bit hollow - some would have been serious fish of 5+ later in the season. Best spot was at the end of the left hand bank from the small beach, casting into the white water.

My first time on the Wye and despite only having two hours I managed a lovely catch of chub and barbel (8mm pellet fished with a blockend feeder filled with micro pellets and hemp) from the ‘white water’ below the shallow ‘rocky weir’ on the left hand bank. Really pleased and no end of bites. Look out for a video on The Magic of Fishing channel to see more of the session! ???? River was low but stunning ????

Lowest I e ever seen it but nice colour and a bit of weed downstream. A few on float corn or meat but all barbel on pellet feeding very regularly with hemp. Couple of barbel caught on the drop and saw a barbel leap clear of the water. All the chub good fish and a couple of barbel would have nudged 8lb

Fished the beat a couple of times before but unfortunately this time the river was too low and weather too hot. Spent a couple of hours on the float for 2 chub on meat.

Aimed to fish a late afternoon and evening session to avoid the worst of the high temperatures.
On arrival it became apparent that the session might be even shorter than planned as the beach peg was home to a number of sunbathers, swimmers and stick chasing dogs.
Eventually the crowds dispersed and we were left with maybe a couple of hours before dark to do some fishing. Despite the disturbance and the low and clear river conditions, the fish were reasonably obliging when we did eventually get to wet a line.
