River low, but this beat usually holds a few fish in the faster water post spawning .. two fished - Friday and Saturday. Caught better in the overcast conditions on Friday. Ten Barbel to just under 8lb and twenty five decent Chub to 4lb 11. All on sweetcorn fishing all the swims at the bottom end. Not as many hand sized Chub/Dace as in previous years but the margins are alive with fry. Nice to see the mink hounds come through on Saturday

River very low and couldn't access the end swim as very steep so didn't fish.

The river was very low and clear which made fishing hard. The banks on this stretch are dangerously steep and certainly not conducive to a comfortable days fishing, so we only fished from 11.00 - 16.00. I won’t be booking here again.

Very shallow stretch but beautiful. 2 barbel lost, there is a hole under bridge if you cast up but very shaggy. Middle stretch was constant raps from little fis, don’t think anything decent was there. Wish I had spent more time in littke cut out swim at bottom end of stretch. Had to stand at top to cast but hooked a barbel and lost a couple of nice chub in snags. But it was last swim I visited but the fish def wanted to be at the tail of the fast water.

Fished bottom peg on left hand bank. Rain made bank very slippy. Banks are very steep on left bank. Better suited to getting down into water really. Right hand bank has more accessible pegs. Had 6 chub out just under 5lb and painfully lost 2 barbel before 7:30am. Before it went quite for a couple of hours. Changed bait from bloodworm barbel pellets to meat and started catching again. Old reliable worm also caught me a couple of chub. As did halibut pellets on hair. As I always say, Chub and barbel are not fussy and will take pretty much anything if you find them. Only fished until 2 pm and thy were still biting. Finished off with 14 chub an lost a few. Will return there’s plenty of fish on this stretch.
