A nice day in a beautiful location. Access involves a bit of exploring/scrambling/wading through vegetation but is manageable and there are more open areas especially downstream. 2 grayling on a nymph and one brown trout.

A lovely day on a beautiful beat. Bright but not excessively hot. Two trout on a streamer toward the end of the day, having tried and failed with dry fly and nymph. One minor bit of feedback on the beat map/instructions on how to access the beat - it would be worth adding that one needs to drive through the main entrance gate to Buckland Hall - this is a very obvious waypoint but strangely isn't mentioned in the current set of instructions. Nothing to detract from a wonderful day though!
Fishing Passport Note : That's very useful feedback and we will look at updating the beat details.

Fished 3 hours up till dark. 3 x trout: 2 at 6 inches on an olive nymph, one much larger at around 2.25lb taken on a dry. Very busy rise just before it was too dark to see, otherwise quite difficult fishing. Several pairs of sea lampreys seen making their redds, aswell as the remains of a recently deceased one. I saw other sea lampreys this morning on the Wye, under Foy bridge.
