Lovely day out on the Wye tried lots of swims in woods and in the field but for some reason fish were just not feeding. One 2lb chub at 5.15pm saved the blank.

Fished 5 hrs this afternoon, and barbel were interested. Still and very overcast. Krill pellet and open feeder. Best 2 were 9-11 and 8-11.

So ended my week of afternoon fishing. First time on this venue. Very picturesque and interesting fishing.
My only downside comment would be the upstream end of the fishery could do with some tlc on the swims they are not the easiest to fish (I know its the Wye) for anglers comfort and safety.
