Nice surprise to find someone had been down and strimmed some of the swims, unfortunately the fishing was hard and we only managed three small chub.

High, fast and coloured water. Strengthening wind. Access to fishable swims hard to find. A chub each saved the day.

Conditions looked good, river was coloured and rising. The fish just weren’t having it . Caught a chub first cast and then remained biteless throughout the rest of the day despite trying numerous different spots

Fished the upstream section. Best Chub was 5.10. Almost caught a Pike that had grabbed a 4lb chub as I brought it in, but it let go at the net!!

A lovely winter Chub of around 4lbs saved my day. Temperature fell steadily throughout the afternoon. Just nice to be out by the river.

Mild Feb day, light breeze. Travelled light and explored the beat. Feeder or small lead and meat. Had several knocks in water next to the field below the woods. Two promising fish lost and a single chub which, as they say, saved the day. Old wooden steps down from the meadow replaced - much safer now

Perfect conditions, mild, sunny, river looked glorious. Sadly no fish. For information, the upstream track leading to the parking area is blocked by a pile of rubbish. Not sure if it's traveller deterrent or fly tipping. Anyway you can't drive down it.

Fishing Passport Note : 15th Feb 2023. The blockage has since been cleared.

Quite cold early on but otherwise conditions were near perfect. Unfortunately the fish did not share this view - not a nibble all day. Tried 3 different swims in the wooded area and various boilies, meat, maggots and pellets. All were treated with indifference!

Lovely early morning start. 2.5 degrees! Drove up through torrential rain so a pleasant surprise. Started off in the meadow - not a nibble. Moved up to the woods and got 2 chub mid morning. One 4lb, one 3lb ish. Then the river began to rise with yesterday's rain coming through. It rose 1 metre according to the Ross gauge over about 6 hours. No more bites
