Two anglers fishing. Started at dawn. Weather conditions: clear all day and very bright. The water level was low. Armada of canoeists from 10am-4pm, none causing big issues but couldn't fish the far bank. We stayed at the middle peg throughout the day with little success until 5pm where two small chub were caught. Moved to the end peg for the remaining couple of hours and caught chub and barbel to 3-4lb. Great end to the fishing session. Beautiful fishing location, nice scenery and bird life including kingfishers and buzzards.

I didn’t start fishing till 3pm, I had intended to feeder fish which is what I did for an hour taking 2 small barbel, but watching my mate on the Cory above catching every put through with rolling meat, prompted me to get the stick float out & it was pretty much constant action, fishing meat, I had 2 barbel around 4lb. 1 about 6 then all the rest between 1 & 2lb, most of the chub were bigger than the barbel.

Water level as low as I've seen it, but meant you could stand right on the end of the top croy without waders, like rolling meat so decided to have a go. dropped into the hole on the edge first cast and an instant take from a chub about 4lb, from then on it was manic, almost a fish a cast. All barbel were small max about 3lb but most of the chub were decent up to 4.5lb. never bothered to get the feeder rod out. fished from 3pm to just after 7pm. Word of warning if your booked here, the path from the parking area has become a bit overgrown and difficult to see your footing, due to people bypassing it by walking along the road to get to the bottom swim

Awesome day trotting the float ended up with 13 Barbel, biggest only 5lb or so, lots of small ones which is great for the future. One very green eel on the feeder. But 17 chub average stamp about 4lb biggest around 6lb. Lovely day, but the kayaks were chaos today never seen it so crowded. Morning and afternoon paddlers very polite and courteous, but midday crowd rude, many drunk and just landing all over the play. including all the pegs above me on Wyebank and the ones opposite. Families swimming and wading through the river below me then wading all the way up the nearside bank and through the swim ! TBH didnt put the fish off one bit, but does spoil the peace a bit ! River was low and clear but this does allow you to get out there and run the float. Best days fishing for an age.

As this was our first time at Wyebank RJ and I started at the top and worked our way down. We didnt get far as small barbel, chub and (good size!) dace were obliging from the start on trotted corn. MF stuck with feeder and boilie losing a 4lb ish barbel at the net and landing a 3lb chub that took on the drop! Lots of bites (to 15mm boilie) but they seemed to be from smaller fish. Thank you to the owner and WUF for access to this lovely part of the Wye.
