River was up a little, getting to the edge is a nightmare and it might have to be the last time I fish this beat. Lost a lot of gear as well

10 Barbel caught and a few chub, lovely stretch

Fast flow so tricky. Barbel on a variety of baits; meat, pellet and sweetcorn. Fish were mainly on the run below the upper pool. Lost 3 good fish in the upper pool.

Fantastic day. Lovely stretch. Caught barbel throughout the day …started with 4 barbel from 4 casts. Fished from 6 until 3. I had 10 barbel 3 chub.

Dad joined me and and he had 7 barbel 2 chub.

AW - 4 Barbel - 3 Chubs and 2 Eels

Great day's fishing. Bites from 10am to 10pm. Fished the bottom pool on the edge of the slack. Pellets and feeder got bites straight away. Switched to float fished meat in the afternoon and caught 1 barbel and 1 chub but also lost 4 barbel to hook pulls.
Lost 7 in total so should have been a much better day!
