We only fished the afternoon - from about 3pm into darkness. We fished both pools - both feeder fishing with hair rigs. We caught 6 chub between us. One chub was almost 5lb, 3 were between 2-3lb, and 2 were smaller, around 1-1.5lb. The bigger chub were caught in the most downstream pool.

An interesting day on Wyebank with the river pushing through quickly when we arrived. Fishing the main runs was impossible so we opted to fish the stream mouth at the very top of the beat. RJ had some success with a PB barbel of 8.5lb and a couple of small ones of about 1lb. MF had a run of small chub and dace on stick/maggot. Switching to meat later on resulted in a 2 minute tussle with a very heavy fish which eventually snapped the hook length.

The river was "on the rise" - It rose extremely rapidly, rising just under 1 metre (39 inches) in about 8 hours!
Everything was coming down the river, logs , branches, small trees was like a mini sunami !
Best fish of the day a Chub at 4lb 61/2oz, and another couple at about 2-3 lbs. Also a couple of Barbel - biggest about 1.5lb
