Hard going. River was rising. Had bites early and late. One really nice barbel about 7lb, a quality chub of about 4.5, another chub and an eel. Although it’s a long stretch in reality there are only about 6 pegs that you can actually fish.

A great day fishing with 2 barbel around the 7lb mark and a tiny one and and eel too. Lost 2 fish late on that felt bigger again. River quite coloured and high.

Despite the weather and hard conditions we still had a good time, lovely place as always, managed 3 Barbel, 1 Chub and a bonus Pike

Two barbel early on followed by a lull In proceedings until things picked up again mid afternoon. Only a handful of canoes today on a rising river and lots and lots of rain. Steep muddy slopes were treacherous and a staked out rope is essential in such conditions.

Just one fish today but 2 others lost at the net. The river rose steadily throughout the day meaning debris was a real issue, keeping a bait in place for 10 minutes was impossible at times.
