River up due to recent rains so a fair amount of debris coming down. Fished from lunch time until dark. All fish caught on running lead or feeder.

2 barbel caught late afternoon on pellets. Little bit of extra water and quite a bit of weed debris. Generally a good day with only one light shower and very few canoeists.

Nice days fishing with river in good condition and fish feeding freely. Started in the lower sections but moved after losing too much tackle in the many snags. The top field was very productive and although we had no very big fish, we managed a good number of 7lb plus barbel .

Another disappointing day on this, normally, productive stretch. Weather pleasant, but only 1 chub of 4 and 1 barbel at 5.12 to show for our efforts. It was, however, good to catch up with Don again and hear about his plans for the future.

Dull and mild day, river a little dark (peaty black), used standard feeder tactics. 4 barbel to 10lbs 4ozs. Fabulous fish as always, very enjoyable day.

Overcast and mild conditions.heavy rain making conditions under foot treacherous from 5pm.Many swims that i remember and caught barbel from in 2014 completely inaccessible due to bramble, nettle and himalayan balsam !! Many snags at meadow end now taking care of my end tackle. Very few bites at all on pellet/ pva bag/feeder also tried trundling with meat and trotting various swims. Disappointed with outcome on second visit. Take great care in some of these swims.one 2lbs eel meat late on.

Decided to fish at the last minute so only for 2 hours but caught well on a range of baits. Best barbel was 7lb and best chub was 4lb. River in good condition.
