Arrived with sun breaking through the mist. River a bit low with 0.48m on the gauge. Beat looking beautiful as usual. Had a very firm pull from a salmon on a Curries Red Shrimp on Upper Rock but it didn’t stay on.
Saw a 5 lber leave the water halfway down Rock Pool but it was unreceptive to my overtures. A lovely couple of hours. Then decamped down to Newbridge to fish after a very high tide. Lucky enough to catch a slightly coloured 10lber on the same fly in bright afternoon sunshine. All in all a lovely day.

Blanked, water levels low. Missed a nice fish on the woodland stretch. Saw a Mink and a kingfisher flew past.

1 good sized WBT came off just as coming into the net on a barbless GRHE, blank otherwise with minimal seen. Lovely autumnal afternoon.

chainbridge is a very lovley fishery i lost a good fish in the top pool, upper rocks pool ,
must of been great back in the day of the salmon,
fishing hut could do with a tidy up but other then that,
brilliant.

A lovely stretch of water. Fished for a couple of hours with a nymph and buzzer. Didn't catch anything, but there was a fish jumping so they're definitely there. Would gladly fish the beat again.

Very low water conditions. 2 trout came in the fast & shallow water opposite the campsite early morning using a weighted nymph. 3 chub came from the pool above the campsite using a small sedge.

Great stretch of water. Slow day with the odd trout rising throughout the day. Bit too much sun. One small brown landed and released, caught to a Black Gnat, five missed takes. Kingfisher flew past which was good to see.

Water was low ,warm ,all fish caught on Beadhead pheasant tail nymph, largest about 1lb

Hard work today with very little in the way of rising fish. All fish caught on PTN gold head but nothing of any size. All fish returned. Saw a mink carrying ,what we thought was a duck in the water in vicinity of the Bridge.
