River looked good and was rising slowly after some cold overnight rain. In water visibility of around 8". 3 Chub to 3lbs from the upper end, 2 Pike to low doubles and 2 Barbel, biggest 8lbs 12oz on pellet feeder/boilie combo.
First time on this very scenic stretch.

Only 1 chub at 2lbs caught from bottom swim. River was clear, we could not get any bites any where else on the beat.

First blank on the Wye. Water running quite low and clear for this time of year. Temperature had dropped suddenly the day before and we had the first frost of the Autumn overnight, so I guess that combined with bright sunshine all day wasn't ideal.
Fished feeder with meat bolies and tried 5 different swims, but not a touch all day. Beautiful location - lots of wildlife, including buzzards, a peregrine and a barn own hunting and this stretch certainly looks the part for barbel - will probably return next summer to have another go.

One 3.5lb chub on pellet, a few missed bites but generally slow possibly due to weather turning quite cold. River flowing well through mid section and reasonably clear considering recent rainfall.

River in good condition today, although increasing amounts of weed and leaves in the flow as the day went by. 5 barbel taken to 7lb and 4 chub on a variety of baits.

Really gloomy day with river around a meter up but clearing well. No barbel today but 3 chub around 3-5lbs on pellet.

Had a good three and a half hours fishing. Two Barbel of 7lb 2oz and 6lb 12oz, together with four Chub between 2lb and 3lb 8oz. All on ledgered luncheon meat. Limited fishing to a short session as rain started to come down making the bank very slippery and dangerous (to a 60 year old) especially when trying to land, weigh and release fish. However, great to be out on the river. Hope to be back again soon.

3 barbel, 1 chub caught on flavored luncheon meat. Had to leave early to drive back to Suffolk. Saw a mink swim past me and all sorts of wildlife, kingfishers being my favorite. Will definately return here as soon as possible. Love the Wye!

One bite, one chub on maggots but apart from excessive number of pheasants and a pleasant day. First time on beat, parking a problem as field not available due to ground conditions.

6 barbel, 1 chub. Lovely day on a great beat! Pellets and groundbait in feeder was winning method on the day.
