Nothing caught today... Only had three hours in the afternoon and decided to fish the right hand bank . Had a couple of tentative twitches using pellet feeder method but didn’t really find the fish.

What a fabulous stretch and some lovely swims. Meat seems to be the bait at the moment. All the barbel were a nice size but nothing over 7.5lb. Only negative is the walk up the hill both ways, it is horrendously steep. Will certainly be back again.

River up and very fast. Lost a lot of strong tackle in the rocks, lots of boats. The dace fishing was good on the float.

Fished okay but very disappointed with the non-existent pegs! Everywhere very overgrown and we were not forewarned that we would need to dig out own pegs and cut the foliage back.

River around 0.7m at Ross when we started, and slowly dropping throughout the day. A good start, with a very nice Chub first cast and a Barbel not long after. We had fish steadily but they seemed to come in waves, with several in quick succession then a lull, but not for too long.

Most of the Barbel were like peas in a pod, all around the 5 to 6lb mark, and in lovely condition, with a couple of better ones around 8. The Chub ranged from around 3 to over 5lb. One of us fished feeder with GB and pellets, the other straight lead with bags of mixed pellets, small boilies or pellets on the hook for both of us. The bag and lead worked much better than the feeder.
