Fished the river taff, Quakers yard to pontigwaith bridge using worm, lost 2 massive trout line snapped, no fish caught.

2 anglers fished. Water low as expected, little flow. All fish caught on meat, mostly trotting. Most fish 1lb to 1.5ln, two over 2lb, three over 3lb. Enjoyable day, but hard work in the conditions and heat.

Very hot and sunny. May have put the fish off. Due to illness only one of could actually get to the river.

Four rainbow trout caught on worm between my son and myself off the opposite bank to the a470.

All rainbow and best method small buzzers fished very slowly in first 2 feet.

5 x trout 7 - 17 inches, 2 x grayling 7-8 inches, DHE and spiders.

During the afternoon a canoeist kept fooling around on the boundary between Nyth and Tyrcelyn and Abernant. Claimed to be a right bank land owner, but wouldn't give his name.
