6 Barbel, 1 Chub

Morning was quite sunny so fishing was hard. However mid afternoon cloud cover arrived and caught the barbel within a couple of hours.

Amazing day on the river catching 19 on the stick float and 3 on the tip, ranging from 1lb up to 5lb.
All caught on the left hand bank from various pegs. Silk weed coming down the river was an pain but it was still great

24 Chub

Having fished the upper section before we wanted to try the lower left section, but we walked all the way down to the bottom only to find one decent swim as the river level was too shallow at that time.
We had to clear a swim as there was 2 of us, not impressed
However we did have 4 barbel over the 2 sections in the end on meat and pellet ledgering

Better stamp of fish today with a couple of real lumps to 5lb 8oz. All taken trotting meat

2 anglers fished
3 barbel caught on float fished meat from the island gully.
10 chub caught on pellet/meat feeder from top peg.

3 Barbel, 10 Chub

Fished for 5 hours and had lots of fun. Barbel up to 9lb , chub up to 5lb and a 2lb eel . Lost 6 other large fish , possibly barbel . Lovely fishery with spectacular scenery, can't wait to return.

2 Barbel, 3 Chub

River very low still many swims struggling to show any flow, crease or foam line so many parts of beat showing no signs of fish holding up. Tried 4 swims finished on 2 small Barbel to krill dumbells. Lost 1 which just shot off before the hook could set itself. Blanked weed still an issue and flow still an issue as lack off.

Literally blanked, not because there are no fish, I’m just shit at fishing ????
