Fished towards the top end of the beat, had 3 Barbel each in the morning before a lull until mid afternoon when Barbel started to feed again.Barbel were mostly from 5-8 lbs with the best one 8 lbs 8 oz,feeder and pellet. Also some nice Chub on meat baits. River was up slightly with some much needed colour which made a big difference. All in all a very nice place with easy access ,will definitely return next year.

decided on arrival to fish the wooded section, after one hell of a walk with all our gear we found 2 lovely swims which produced fish over the day, however its very snaggy and be prepared to be frustrated losing tackle.again we had another angler turn up and fish dead opposite me where the river isnt that wide casting to our side and fishing with maggot which we werent allowed, however we enjoyed our day before the dreaded walk back.conditions this trip havent been easy with the river low and clear but it still produced some good fish.

Not my best days fishing on the Wye but nice scenery. A small chub saved my blank and the fisherman opposite caught a lot of small barbel to prove there are plenty in there! Quite a shallow beat, with only one deeper swim so not a lot of swim choice but well kept and nice place to spend a day.
