Due to the very high temperature we arrived at first light but only fished until 10,30 and in one spot only managed one barbel of 8lb 5oz The water as reported is very low gin clear and over 20 ' c the bottom is visible over most of the stretch.
will get back in late September.

Very hot and bright conditions coupled with a low and clear river made it difficult to catch. An occasional Chub on the float and a surprise mid afternoon barbel on the feeder were all we had to show for our efforts. Packed up early as the call of a cold pint was too hard to resist.
