Hard fishing with little happening. Managed 4 chub and an eel and at the end of play a beautiful barbel rattling the scales near 10lb, all caught on pellet.

Fantastic opening day to the season! Arrived very early and started catching straight away. Between the 2 of us we had 9 barbel averaging 5lb and 5 chub between 2 and 3lb. Fished pellets with the open ended feeder produced more than pva bags although both caught fish. Fantastic work done to the banks creating comfortable swims.

Sun and cloud, warm, low 20's. 4 barbel, best 6lbs on pellet and feeder. 18 Chub up 5lbs on pellet. Beware of 3rd swim on road side below willow stump, there's a snag at 45 degree's downstream. I lost some tackle here.

Five reasonable carp between the two of us, float fishing with sweetcorn. Plus a bream, and assorted small rudd and roach. At least the cattle didn't notice us today! A nice small venue, that will probably fish well in the summer.

Took two rainbow of about 2lbs each hard fighting and quite silvery in colour on damsel. Switched to dry and caught 6 perch, but no more rainbow. Lake went quiet from 2 p.m A hot day, no cloud. Stayed self catering at Llangwynidr, excellent. Also had a private day on 14th on a beat below Crickhowell bridge. Very few rising fish, but had a brown of 1lb on a hawthorn.

Lovely lake. We were left alone in peaceful surroundings with just the cattle for company. We caught 4 small carp up until they completely switched off at around 2pm.
