The river was really low and not too much flow to it although a tad more than the previous day. I was really impressed by this beat and you can tell it is well looked after as there were numerous/accessable swims to fish from which is not always the case on the wye. Colin the ghille was very friendly and a good bloke. At the time I was struggling with only one chub to show for my efforts but with his advice I ended up with 5 barbel and 1 chub. I will definitely be going back to this beat.

Challenging day which saw us fish a lot of swims on a very low and clear river but pleasing to get a few fish all the same.

I had caught a couple of good chub before Don turned up to kindly give me some pointers on fishing the pool at the end of the beat. Water levels were very low but by following Don's advice, I ended with three barbel to 6lb and another two chub nudging 4lb. Many thanks Don, good to meet you.

Supposed to be 2 mile stretch of river. I walked all of it and found 1 swim in the last mile & half, the rest is immposible to access. Water very low top end, struggled all day - 2 barbel between all 4 of us.

Top and bottom ends of this stretch need some work to them to open up access. Despite a low clear river bites came right from the off. Moved swims a bit but all the barbel came from one particular spot, although I did get chub on float fished corn and bread from other swims.
