A good day on the river albeit a blank for all three anglers. With a lot of rain preceding our pike trip we weren’t expecting much with the river levels high and colored. Will definitely be returning on the passport.

River was up but falling with a little colour. To high to Wade and get the fly rods out so trotted with maggot. Some nice Grayling landed to around the pound mark!
Will definitely be back when we have some more settled weather.

8 Grayling

Fished upper section starting above the weir at Berwyn sidings, caught two grayling. Then a couple of miles downstream of Llangollen. River level up - all caught within a couple of feet of the bank (red collar PTN).

River rising, but still fishable. Managed 2 out of season wild brown trout and 1 grayling.

Quick spell with a PTN producing a nice fish from the first riffles below the pub.

First visit to a beautiful fishery. Some great looking runs, but struggled to find the grayling.

Very low and extremely clear. Nice looking water, but no signs of life.
