Started in the meadow but bites were hard to come by. On Dons advice two of us moved to the woods to shallower and faster flowing water. Had two barbel each and a couple of chub although the the bulk of the chub and other barbel coming later in the day to the rod who remained in the meadow. All fish taken on pellet fished with a feeder.

Another great stretch. Very hot day. Great swims. 4 Barbel, best 7.5lbs.
Shame we didn't catch more. Rumours of late spawning it seems. Another week or so and I think things could have improved. River looking perfect, just a touch of colour.

Superb height and clearing well after the small rise. Good barbel to 8 1/2 lb and quality chub landed this morning. Fish now seem to be feeding well after a slow start.

Excellent first visit to River Wye, river low, very sunny day. Fished from dawn to catch early morning feeding period. 26 Barbel up to 10lbs 8oz and 5 Chub up to 3lbs 5oz. All caught on pellet/feeder approach apart from largest Barbel captured by MS on 15ft float rod and 4lb line. Fish all appeared in good/excellent condition, no obvious spawning marks. Mobile approach targeting fast water areas, fish in pockets and work needed to find them. Thanks W & U.

We caught more than our fair share! Loads of barbel, numerous fish over 8lb and 3 over 9lb, biggest 9lb 6oz. Plenty of chub, biggest about 4lb. Left earlier than planned because we thought we better leave a few for next time! A brilliant day!
