When we arrived, the river was almost bank, so fished the slacks between bankside willows, and watched the trees floating past!
Had just three chub between us, before we were advised to leave the fishery within a couple of hours, as another meter of water was expected .

River in flood and continued to rise. Only one swim had a fishable slack and was already taken. Tried some other swims but lost plenty of gear and gave up at 4.
