Conditions looked great, barbel 8lb biggest chub at just over 4lb. Most fish caught on feeder tactics, others and smaller chub came on trotting maggot (other chublet and Dace)

So ended my week of afternoon fishing. First time on this venue. Very picturesque and interesting fishing.
My only downside comment would be the upstream end of the fishery could do with some tlc on the swims they are not the easiest to fish (I know its the Wye) for anglers comfort and safety.

Another great day in the Wye valley,a slow start with just 1 Barbel in the morning but things picked up in the afternoon with bites becoming more regular,best Barbel today went 8 lbs 9 oz,others 5-7 lbs,Barbel falling mostly to swimfeeder and pellet and the Chub mostly on legered meat

A tricky day, which I had expected after reading the recent catch returns for this stretch. Caught my new personal best barbel so I came away very happy. It's a beautiful place to spend a day and it's very accessible.

Hard work today, river looked good but water temperature had dropped by a couple of degrees. Tried various methods and moved to different swims, but no Barbel and just a couple of chub.
