Despite fears there was enough water to move the fish. All fish between 6-8”. Stream needs clearing.

6 Trout

The water level was very low and a chilly wind was blowing upstream. I caught one trout on a dry fly and one on a wet fly. Hardly no activities between 1.30 pm and 5 pm.

Bright sun cold wind - unusual for early June. Limited fly life or fish activity till later evening after 8pm then brief and spectacular hatch of sedge plus spinners returning. Fish rose well till 9.50pm. Best fly’s - klinkhammers patterns, sedge, mayfly

15 Trout

A lovely afternoon, caught three Brownies and missed four, Trout showing all afternoon. All went back ok, all showing lovely colours and in good health.

Bright, warm day on the Edw. Reasonable flow given lack of rain. 6 wbt caught and released on variety of dries. Best 12". Beat in need of a good haircut.

Couple of hours in the evening hoping to see some mayfly on the water. Very quiet with only a couple of fish rising above the weir that I couldn’t interest.

Caught Trout all safely returned, good fishing

Nice, sunny evening with trout rising in the flat water. Couldn't interest them, thought. But I did get three in running water on nymphs, including two at nearly 2lb.

No fish caught on fly, spinner, lure or worm. Very difficult days fishing

Bright sunny day. Water very low with not much activity in the morning. Livened up in the afternoon. 2 WBT about 10-11 inches. 1 on a PTN and on a PA.
