Several fish rising

Only fished for an hour as the river was low and hinting at at bloom in the deeper pools. Was delighted to get a lovely brownie, just under 1lb, though in a deep pool which took a sunken Wulff fly.

A further fall in the level and still crystal clear. Some cloud cover today but it didn't improve the fishing. A few fish may have shown in the evening but we left early with along drive in front of us. 2 anglers today. No fish caught.
The river desperately needs some rain.

As nice as the location is. there is no wardens checking peoples tickets or surveying the fishing areas, and an unbelievable amount of children swimming and throwing things in the water.

Very pretty stretch, tempted a few on the dry but too slow for them.

early morning session resulted in 2 low double insanely hard fighting commons both fell to boilie over particle.
