Very frustrating day with fish taking emergers in the tails of pools. Very hard to trick but we had a few.

Good fish showing at the tail of little run which may (or may not) have shown interest in a franknsnaelda early morning. River fishing beautifully.

Big thank you to Mick for his help and advice. Hot bright day nothing showing. Lots of swimmers and canoes. Lovely beat to fly fish.

Caught on PTN and safely returned. Good dry fly fishing later in the day with late mayfly hatches. Access a bit tricky further upstream but part of the challenge with small river fishing!!

Only fished the evening from 7.30pm-9.30pm. Very few rises and obviously small and weren’t interested to any May fly and smaller dry offerings or emergers. Will try again tonight with a nymph off dry. Any advise gratefully received!

Lovely day on a beautiful beat. Lots of fish seen including a few real specimens. Lots of fish rising all day but very hard to tempt with water clear and shallow - very spooky!
Had 5 lovely fish before lunch and then the afternoon we were defeated by the fish! Missed two fish on dries - one fish would have probably gone close to 3lbs. The one that got away.
All fish caught on dries in fast water.
Lovely beat - will return again - perhaps when the water is higher.
Lunch as ever was fabulous!
