Fished the same swims I fished 2 years ago where I previouslycaught barbel, this time I didn't have a bite all day! I tried boilies and luncheon meat, nothing doing at all. Whitney Court stretch very low.

2x WBT on G&H sedge safely returned
spent 80% of the time fighting through brambles and thicket , virtually impossible to flyfish from the bank, lower end was being used by canoists, therefore drove around to bay at the entrance end only to find the gate locked, had to reverse nearly 200m, a sign at the entry would have been appropriate. I won't be spending my money here again, the fishing is far better across the bridge.

Fished from 6pm till dusk nothing through ripples with a ptn.All caught after a bite to eat and washed down with Henry Westons vintage cider. What an enjoyable break (two grumpy old men sat on the river bank putting the world to right!!) back to fishing, between 8.30 and 9.15 caught 6 including one very nice 15" all on a variation of spent may fly. Another memorable evening.

The day started off well with 4 barbel and a chub in the first 2 hours, but then 2 anglers turned up on the far bank, one of them proceeded to wade out 2/3 the way across 40 meters downstream not a problem. But his ignorant selfish mate had other ideas setting up 15 meters up stream of where i was fishing, then not happy with that proceeded to move 15 meters downstream of me setting up his platform 2/3 of the way across, so probably no more than 5 meters from the fish i had been catching. At this point a polite conversation was had about etiquette and boundaries but to no avail.
The fish in this section get a lot of attention and that was enough to stop any fish being caught for the remainder of the day, not a touch in 8 hours!
Can WUF reach a compromise/ruling with the opposite fishery to avoid this happening?
TW 4 barbel
RL 4 barbel 1 chub
