A beautiful sunny Sunday morning, got to the res at 8.45 fished on the boat ramp. 1st cast a trout around 3lb 2nd cast trout 2 1/2lb 30 minutes later 3rd trout around 3lb, all caught on worm fished at 10 Mt's.
That was it for the morning, sun getting hotter clear skies put the trout off. Cloud cover around 1.30pm 4th trout again about 3lb, skies cleared put fish back off the feed. More cloud cover at 4.15pm 5th trout smallest of the day at 2lb but this was the only blue trout so a nice fish to finish the day off.

Well, he's still annoying W.H. from Craven arms- 3 trout to my one and some takes. Fish to 10", all returned. Tricky fishing- you have to be on your toes to keep your flies out of the shrubbery. Great fun fishing the pools: scorching 25'c today, bright sun and low water. Cold cider, beer and Steven Bull's ham pies from Much Marcle produce market did go a long way to reviving us at bate time. Bugs about (saw a chaffinchy thing take a medium size up wing fly on the wing). Only a few rises though. Don't be dismayed by access when you first arrive- through the gate by the lay-by for the downriver section, follow the hedge and towards the mill and through the paddock, you will find new styles and low gates. To get to the top half, we went back to the lay-by and through the gate a bit further along the road- styles are in view.
