Beautiful stretch, the top half has excellent access for the Wye, but the bottom half appears to have no swims cut out and only looks fishable at high water levels. The large weed beds I remember from my previous trip here a few years ago are unfortunately mostly gone.
Honestly lost count of the number of Chub and am pretty sure I caught at least one fish twice. Most were small, but a few were 3lb+. The Barbel was a mint condition long and lean fish of around 7 1/2lb. Everything caught on pellet feeder.
I appear to have lost a bank stick at some point while exploring and was unfortunately unable to find it.

River still dropping with a tinge of colour, torrential rain today made fishing difficult, not able to access the woods as to dangerous. Fished two pegs up from the woods as it had space for two of us to get under a brolly. Managed to catch 4 chub between us and had to work hard for bites as fish not confidently feeding, caught on pellet band mostly but one fell to meat.
4 Chub
