Low water but decent cloud cover, fish caught on pellet and meat

Arrived finding the river looking good. As usual trotting the main flow, although the wind was making it difficult I was soon into the first barbel and what great sport on the stick.
It turned out to be one of my best sessions of the season with a PB on the stick float 11lb.
Managed 9 Barbel…11lb / 10lb/ 8lb / 8lb 2oz/ 2x 6lb / 7lb / 5lb / 5lb 6oz / ……
Had to leave early as the wind was gusting gale force. Would have had many more but what a day !
All fish caught on the stick float.
Thanks again Team and the river Wye……….????

The report is for 2 anglers CT and AW.

CT - 13 Barbel (biggest just under the 3lb mark), 3 Chub ( biggest about 4lb 2oz) and the other was an Eel

AW - 3 Barbel, and 2 Chub

16 Barbel, 5 Chub, 1 Other

10 Chub

Biggest barbel 8lb 12. Biggest chub 3 1/2. Good day.

On the upper section of this lovely beat. So well maintained and accessible. As for the fishing I struggled to locate them today with just two rises to my soft hackle dry producing two grayling. Nothing on various nymphs or spiders. Great to be back again after so long.
